Stage 1 the rocks are glued onto the base of the
container with silicone rubber glue.  The rocks are
never placed in a straight line.  If a seal is needed to
separate water from land, the silicone rubber can be
used to seal the base behind the rocks.

Stage 2 the trees usually are grown beforehand in a
shallow pot to train the roots for their new home,
and they are pruned and wired into the desired
shapes.

Stage 3 the larger or dominant trees are generally
placed in front, and smaller or subordinate trees in
back for depth of scale.  Trees are never placed
randomly.  They should appear natural and look as
if they have grown together for a long time.

Stage 4 the terrain is usually made hilly, with accent
rocks added to both land and water for scale and
harmony.

Stage 5 two types of moss is aesthetically better.
Larger figurines in front, smaller in back again for
depth and scale effects.
